Ash can also be used to improve sandy or muddy ground/borders to improve the quality or drainage of the area. Wood ash is also a great pest repellent, spread around plants or affected areas. A great favourite of the Crafts Wood Ash is a key ingredient to numerous pottery glazes.
NOTE: Flowers such as Azalea, Camellia, and Rhododendron, fruits and veg eg. Blueberries and Radish do not tolerate fertilizer in the form of ash.
